Lesson Overview

5.11 – Traveling in Groups vs. Alone: Traveling with a group can feel safe and fun because you have others to help and support you. Groups can make decisions together and look out for one another. When traveling alone, you get more independence and can move at your own pace. Both options teach important skills about navigating the community. When alone, you must pay extra attention to your surroundings and safety. When in a group, you must communicate and cooperate to stay organized. Knowing when to choose group travel or solo travel depends on where you are going and how comfortable you feel. Planning ahead makes both experiences smoother and more enjoyable. With practice, you can build confidence in either situation. Learning both skills helps you stay connected to your community while growing independence.
