5.7 – Problem-Solving When Lost or Confused: Getting lost or confused can be scary, but problem-solving helps you stay calm and take action. The first step is to stop, breathe, and look around to see if you recognize something familiar. Checking a map, app, or sign can often point you in the right direction. Asking a trusted adult or public worker for help can guide you back safely. Retracing your steps may help you notice landmarks you missed. If you are with a group, staying in one place until they find you is a safe choice. Speaking clearly when asking for help makes communication easier. Solving challenges like this grows your independence and confidence. Each time you handle confusion calmly, you get better at navigating public spaces. You can always find your way again with patience and problem-solving.
