Lesson Overview

7.14 – Balancing Advocacy With Self-Care: While helping others is important, taking care of yourself keeps you strong and able to continue. It’s okay to take breaks when advocacy becomes stressful. Spending time with friends, enjoying hobbies, or resting helps recharge your energy. Setting boundaries protects your mental health and prevents burnout. Talking with supportive people can help you manage tough emotions. Celebrating small steps reminds you that progress takes time. Self-care makes activism more sustainable and meaningful. When you feel balanced, your advocacy becomes more effective. Taking care of yourself is a sign of strength, not weakness. A healthy advocate can help the community for a long time.
