3.7 – Setting Healthy Boundaries in Public Interactions: Healthy boundaries protect your comfort and well-being around others. Boundaries can include how close someone stands, what topics you will talk about, or what favors you agree to. Saying no when something makes you uncomfortable is a sign of self-respect. Speaking clearly and kindly helps others understand your limits without feeling upset. Listening to your feelings helps you know when a boundary is needed. Respecting other people’s boundaries is just as important as protecting your own. If someone does not honor your limits, stepping away is okay. Boundaries help build safe and positive relationships with others. Confidence grows each time you take care of yourself. Clear boundaries make public interactions healthier and more enjoyable.
