Lesson Overview

1.6 – Recognizing Safe vs. Unsafe Social Situations: Safe situations feel respectful, steady, and predictable. People listen, use kind words, and keep promises. Boundaries are clear and followed by everyone. Unsafe situations feel pushy, secretive, or confusing. You may notice threats, insults, or pressure. Your body may signal danger with tightness or racing thoughts. Safe choices include leaving, saying no, or calling for help. Trusted adults, hotlines, or staff can support you. Planning exit routes and code words adds protection. Safety first means your well-being matters more than approval.
