Lesson Overview

4.13 – Listening During Conflict Without Defensiveness: Conflict listening requires calm even when emotions run high. Take deep breaths and lower your voice tone. Avoid interrupting or arguing mid-sentence. Repeat back what you heard to confirm understanding. Focus on meaning, not just words. Try to see the feeling behind their anger. Keep your posture open to show respect. Even when you disagree, stay curious, not combative. Listening doesn’t mean giving in—it means learning first. Calm listening can turn arguments into teamwork again.
