Start with simple phrases like “I’d prefer if…” or “That doesn’t feel right to me.” Remember, others can’t meet needs they don’t know exist. You’re allowed to ask for comfort, fairness, and support. Speaking up helps prevent tension before it grows. Healthy honesty keeps relationships real and safe.
