Lesson Overview

9.3 – Avoiding Monopolizing Conversations: Everyone enjoys being heard, but too much talking blocks connection. Pay attention to how long you’ve spoken compared to others. Pause often to invite responses or new ideas. Ask questions that show real curiosity, not control. Avoid turning every story back to yourself. When others feel included, conversations flow with ease. Listening deeply makes your words more meaningful when you do speak. Notice when people seem distracted or quiet—it’s your cue to slow down. A great talk leaves everyone feeling seen and understood. Sharing space equally builds mutual trust and comfort.
