2.7 – Managing Nervousness in Social Settings: Feeling nervous before talking is totally normal. Your body might shake or your heart may race. Take a slow breath and relax your shoulders. Remind yourself that most people feel the same way. Prepare one or two safe topics before going out. Focus on the other person’s words, not your worries. Use small movements to release tension, like tapping your foot softly. Keep your expectations realistic—every talk doesn’t need to be perfect. Afterward, praise yourself for showing up. Confidence grows each time you practice staying calm under pressure.
