2.10 – Practicing Turn-Taking in Conversations: Balanced conversation is like a game of catch—you take turns. Speak, pause, and give space for replies. Don’t interrupt even if you feel excited. When others talk, listen fully without planning your next line. If you’ve spoken a lot, ask a question to shift focus. Watch body language to see if they’re ready to talk. Be patient with slower speakers or quiet voices. Respecting turns keeps everyone engaged and comfortable. It also helps avoid misunderstandings or talking over someone. Good turn-taking shows maturity and care in every exchange.
