Lesson Overview

4.2 – Showing You’re Listening Without Interrupting: Listening fully shows respect and patience. You can prove it through eye contact, calm posture, and quiet attention. Interrupting breaks trust and makes others feel dismissed. Wait for natural pauses before speaking. Small gestures like nodding or smiling encourage the speaker. If you disagree, let them finish before replying. Keeping still and silent doesn’t mean being passive—it means being present. It’s okay to jot down thoughts instead of cutting in. This patience keeps conversations open and comfortable. True listening allows understanding to grow stronger on both sides.
