8.7 – Apologizing Without Justifying: A true apology focuses on the other person’s feelings, not excuses. Saying “I’m sorry, but…” cancels out the sincerity. Instead, take responsibility with honesty and humility. Use words like “I was wrong” or “I understand I hurt you.” Let them speak about how they feel without interrupting. Listening fully is part of the apology itself. You don’t need to defend every detail—just own your part. Real apologies rebuild trust faster than long explanations. Being accountable shows strength, not weakness. Healing begins when ego steps aside for empathy.
