Lesson Overview

5.5 – Service Projects for Families: Family service projects teach teamwork, empathy, and responsibility across generations. Choose causes that children can safely participate in, like park cleanups or food drives. Assign age-appropriate tasks to give everyone ownership. Discuss the “why” behind each project to build moral awareness. Reflect as a family afterward about what you learned. Take photos or notes to track your family’s yearly impact. Rotate project types—environmental, educational, and humanitarian—to broaden experience. Use family milestones to fundraise or donate supplies. Make volunteering a monthly routine to keep it consistent. Families that serve together strengthen both home and community bonds.
