Lesson Overview

6.10 – The Role of Allies in Advocacy: Allies amplify messages by using their privilege and reach responsibly. They listen, learn, and support rather than lead the cause. Good allies share platforms, not credit. They use influence to open doors others can’t access. True allyship requires humility, consistency, and courage. Allies challenge discrimination even when it’s uncomfortable. They educate peers rather than expecting victims to do it. Support includes funding, visibility, and ongoing presence. Measure allyship by action, not words. Strong movements thrive when allies act with integrity and accountability.
