🛡️ Teen Survival Guide for Police Encounters
Course overview
Lesson Overview

3.14 – Your Rights on the Bus, at Lunch, and During After-School Events: School grounds include buses, lunch areas, and after-school spaces. Your rights still apply there. Be respectful to drivers and staff, but know they must treat you fairly. If searched or questioned, the same rules apply as in classrooms. Keep calm when others get loud. Stay aware of exits and supervisors. Never record someone without permission unless for safety. If police enter, keep your hands visible and don’t panic. Always know who to call if something feels off. Awareness and calm are your best shields.
