Lesson Overview

2.3 – Speaking Without Apologizing Excessively: Many people start sentences with “sorry” even when nothing’s wrong. This habit lowers confidence and confuses listeners. Instead of saying “sorry,” try “thank you for waiting” or “I appreciate your time.” Use apology only when real harm occurred. Your words should show respect, not guilt. Confidence grows when you stop shrinking your voice. Remind yourself that your thoughts have value. Practice pausing before speaking to remove unneeded apologies. Each time you skip a “sorry,” you reclaim power. Respectful honesty feels stronger than nervous politeness.
