Lesson Overview

6.8 – Asking for Respect in Conversations: Respect starts with how we speak and listen. If someone interrupts or mocks your ideas, pause and calmly say, “Please let me finish.” You have the right to be heard without being shouted down. Likewise, give others the same courtesy. Use eye contact and steady tone to hold your space. Respect grows from mutual mindfulness, not control. You don’t need to shout to be respected—you just need to stand firm. Confident words teach people how to treat you.
