Lesson Overview

10.10 – Teaching Family Members About the Plan: A plan only works if others know how to use it. Schedule time to walk your family or trusted friends through your preparedness binder. Explain where it’s stored, what’s inside, and how to access it responsibly. Discuss who to contact first during emergencies and which responsibilities belong to whom. Encourage questions and update the plan based on feedback. Sharing knowledge builds teamwork and reduces confusion. Involving others turns your plan into a family safety system, not a personal secret. Teaching loved ones creates a sense of unity and preparedness that strengthens everyone’s confidence during stressful events.
