Lesson Overview

2.9 – ADHD and Related Conditions: ADHD stands for Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder. It affects focus, impulse control, and organization. It’s not just “being hyper” or “lazy”—it’s about how the brain manages attention and timing. Kids and adults with ADHD may interrupt, lose things, or daydream often. But they’re also creative, curious, and full of ideas. Support includes structure, breaks, reminders, and sometimes medication. Learning what works for your brain turns frustration into progress. ADHD can appear with anxiety or mood issues, so treating the whole person matters. When people understand ADHD, judgment fades and potential grows. The goal is not to “fix” someone but to help their brain shine.
