Lesson Overview

6.9 – Anti-Discrimination Laws in Mental Health: Discrimination based on mental health is illegal in schools, workplaces, and public spaces. Laws protect you from unfair treatment or denial of opportunities. If you’re qualified for a job or school program, your mental health condition can’t be used against you. Employers and teachers must provide support instead of judgment. Public services must treat all people equally regardless of diagnosis. If you face discrimination, you can file a report or seek advocacy help. These laws ensure you’re seen as a person, not a label. Equality and respect are your legal rights, not privileges.
