Lesson Overview

7.4 – How to Read a Lab Report: Lab reports can look confusing, but they tell a story about your health. Each test has a “normal range,” and your numbers show where you fall. High or low results can mean different things depending on context. Ask your doctor to explain what each test checks for and what the results mean for you. Don’t panic over one number—doctors look at trends over time. Highlight or write notes next to results you want to remember. Keeping reports in a folder helps you track progress. Understanding labs turns fear into knowledge and keeps you informed about your body.
