Lesson Overview

6.7 – Workplace Rights and Accommodations: You have rights at work to protect your mental health. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) allows you to request reasonable accommodations, like flexible schedules or quiet spaces. You don’t have to share your full diagnosis—just what changes help you do your job better. Employers must keep your information private and can’t punish you for asking. If you face discrimination, you can contact the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). Standing up for your needs makes workplaces fairer for everyone. Mental health is part of health, and you have a right to thrive on the job.
