Lesson Overview

9.12 – Supporting Others Facing Stigma: When someone faces stigma, they need allies who listen and stand beside them. Support can mean speaking up when others judge or simply offering empathy. Remind them that seeking help shows strength, not weakness. Use kind, nonjudgmental words and validate their experiences. Encourage them to connect with supportive groups or professionals. Small gestures—like checking in—make a huge difference. Helping others face stigma helps everyone feel safer being themselves. Together, we build a culture where acceptance replaces fear.
