Lesson Overview

8.3 – Describing Side Effects Accurately: Side effects can be confusing, so tracking them makes a big difference. Write down when they happen, how long they last, and what you were doing before they started. Use simple words—tired, dizzy, shaky, restless—to describe sensations. Don’t minimize or exaggerate; just report what’s real. Bring your notes to appointments so your provider can adjust treatment safely. Some effects fade, others may need a medication change. Accurate descriptions protect your safety and comfort. Your feedback guides your care just as much as test results do.
