3.12 – The Line Between Worry and Anxiety Disorder: Everyone worries sometimes, but constant worry that won’t turn off could be an anxiety disorder. Normal worry fades after a situation ends; anxiety keeps spinning “what if” stories long after. It can disturb sleep, appetite, or focus. The line is crossed when worry rules your day. Noticing patterns early helps stop the cycle. Therapy and coping skills like grounding or writing thoughts out calm your brain’s alarms. Medication can also help regulate severe anxiety. Worry is your mind trying to protect you, but it needs guidance. You can retrain it to keep you safe without control.
