Lesson Overview

11.1 – Why Start Working Early?: Starting work early helps you practice real-world skills while you are still learning and growing. You learn to show up on time and keep your word, which builds trust. You learn how to talk to customers and coworkers in a respectful way. You learn how to follow rules and still solve problems when things change. Earning your own money teaches you how to save, spend, and plan. You also learn what kind of work you enjoy and what you do not enjoy. Small wins at work build your confidence step by step. These wins also look good on future applications. You meet mentors who can guide you and cheer you on. Early jobs become stepping stones to bigger goals later on. With each shift, you become more independent and more ready for life.
