12.13 – Writing a Resume That Reflects Growth: Your resume should tell the story of improvement, not perfection. Use action words like “organized,” “led,” or “supported” to describe tasks. Update your most recent experiences first. Show how your roles or responsibilities increased over time. Add numbers if possible — like “served 50 customers per day.” Include new certifications or achievements to show learning. Ask for feedback from a mentor or teacher before sending it. Keep it one page, clean, and easy to scan quickly. Each version should feel a little stronger than the last. A growing resume shows you’re moving forward with purpose. Employers love seeing that kind of steady progress.
