Lesson Overview

2.3 – Writing a Cover Letter That Gets Noticed: A cover letter is your chance to tell your story and connect your skills to the job. Begin with a friendly greeting and explain why you’re interested in the position. Mention where you heard about it and what drew your attention. Describe one or two key strengths that match the job description. Use a real example that shows your work ethic or teamwork. Keep your tone professional but warm. End by thanking them and inviting a follow-up. Keep it short—no more than one page. Read it out loud to make sure it sounds natural. A clear, personal letter can make you stand out from the crowd.
