13.6 – How to Apply to Internships That Lead to Real Jobs: Internships are short-term work experiences that help you learn and get noticed. Start searching early through school programs, job boards, or company websites. Write a short, clear application showing your interest in learning, not just earning. Be professional in emails and interviews even if it’s unpaid. During your internship, show up early, stay curious, and help whenever possible. Ask questions and take notes about how things work. Build relationships with coworkers and supervisors by showing gratitude and effort. Treat every task, big or small, with pride and care. At the end, ask for feedback and a letter of recommendation. Many interns are hired later because they proved they were dependable and eager. Each internship helps you step closer to your long-term goals.
