Lesson Overview

5.14 – Avoiding Impulse Spending: Impulse spending means buying things without planning or thinking first. It can quickly throw your budget off balance. Before buying something, pause and ask if it’s a need or a want. Wait 24 hours before big purchases to see if you still want them. Delete saved payment info online to make impulse buys harder. Avoid shopping when emotional or bored—it’s easy to overspend. Use cash for personal spending to limit access. Track each impulse buy to notice patterns. The goal isn’t to never treat yourself but to spend with intention. Smart control brings freedom and satisfaction.
