Lesson Overview

1.11 – How Depression Makes You Lie to Yourself: Depression has a way of twisting your thoughts until they no longer match reality. It tells you that no one cares, even when people do. It says you’re worthless, even when you’ve helped others countless times. These lies grow louder the longer they go unchallenged. The mind becomes its own bully, whispering that you’re better off gone. Understanding this helps people separate the illness from their identity. Depression lies, but it’s not the truth about who you are. When you start to question those thoughts and replace them with facts, healing begins. Support, therapy, and small acts of self-care can slowly turn the volume down on the lies. You deserve to challenge those thoughts because your life is still full of purpose.
