🛡️ Teen Suicide Series
Course overview
Lesson Overview

1.33 – Domestic Violence at Home: Living in a home filled with fear breaks trust in the world around you. When the people who should protect you become the ones who hurt you, confusion and shame take over. You might blame yourself, but the truth is—it’s never your fault. Abuse is about control, not love. Safety comes first, even if leaving feels impossible. There are people and places ready to help you plan and protect yourself. Healing from violence starts with believing you deserve peace and respect. The scars—emotional or physical—don’t define your worth. With time and support, you can rebuild the sense of safety that was taken from you. You are not alone, and you are not to blame.
