Lesson Overview

1.52 – Finding a Trusted Adult Who Will Listen: Having one adult who truly listens can make your whole world feel safer. This person might be a teacher, coach, family member, or mentor who makes you feel seen. You don’t need to tell them everything at once — just enough for them to understand you need support. A trusted adult will listen without rushing to fix or blame. They can help you find professional help, talk to your school, or keep you safe if you’re in danger. You can test trust by sharing a small worry first and seeing how they respond. The right adult will take your words seriously and respect your feelings. Even if you’ve been hurt before, there are adults who care deeply and will show up for you. Letting someone stand beside you doesn’t make you weak — it makes you supported. You deserve to have someone who truly listens and believes you matter.
