🛡️ Teen Suicide Series
Course overview
Lesson Overview

1.22 – PTSD, Grief, and Suicidal Thoughts: Trauma can twist your thoughts until you feel trapped in a loop that keeps replaying pain. PTSD can make your brain react to old memories like they’re happening again, leaving you drained and hopeless. Grief adds another layer—missing someone or something that felt like your anchor. When both combine, it can seem like there’s no safe place left in your own mind. Healing doesn’t mean forgetting; it means helping your body realize you’re not in danger anymore. Breathing, grounding, and gentle routines slowly retrain your brain to feel safe. The pain you carry is real, but it’s also a sign of how deeply you’ve loved and survived. Talking about it can release what’s been bottled up for too long. Recovery from trauma is possible, even if it happens one small step at a time. You don’t have to be okay right away—you only have to stay.
