Lesson Overview

1.76 – When Someone You Know Dies By Suicide: Losing someone to suicide can shake your whole world and leave you feeling confused, angry, and heartbroken. It may not make sense at first, and your mind might keep replaying the last moments you shared. Many people feel regret, wondering if they could have done something differently. It’s okay to not have answers right now. Grief after suicide is a mix of sadness and shock that can come and go in waves. Talking with others who understand can help you feel less alone. Some days you might feel numb, and other days you may cry easily — both are normal. Healing doesn’t mean forgetting; it means finding ways to live with the loss. Remembering the person’s good moments and forgiving yourself are part of the process. Over time, you can begin to carry love and pain together while finding hope again.
