Lesson Overview

1.38 – Hearing Voices or Feeling Disconnected: Sometimes your mind can make you hear, see, or feel things that others don’t, and that can be terrifying. It may feel like reality is slipping away, or like you’re living in a dream you can’t wake up from. These experiences don’t make you broken; they mean your brain is struggling to process extreme stress, trauma, or illness. The first step is safety—finding someone who can help ground you and make sure you’re cared for. Voices often grow louder when you’re isolated or under pressure. Keeping a routine, sleeping regularly, and limiting stress can reduce episodes over time. You are not dangerous or crazy for experiencing symptoms like this. The goal isn’t to erase your mind—it’s to help it find peace again. With help and patience, clarity can return. You still belong in this world, exactly as you are.
