🛡️ Teen Suicide Series
Course overview
Lesson Overview

1.74 – The Emotional Toll of Helping a Friend: Supporting someone in crisis can be emotionally draining. It’s okay to admit that it’s hard to carry someone else’s pain. You might feel worried, sad, or even guilty when you can’t fix everything. Remember that your job isn’t to save them—it’s to care and connect. You also deserve support, rest, and understanding. Talk to a counselor, teacher, or trusted adult about your own stress. Taking care of your mental health keeps you strong enough to help others. When you recharge, you can continue being a stable and kind presence. Boundaries and balance are acts of care, not selfishness. Helping others starts with helping yourself stay grounded and well.
