Lesson Overview

3.1 – What Grounding Means in Daily Life: Grounding means staying connected to the present moment, even when emotions or memories feel overwhelming. It helps separate what’s happening now from what happened before. In daily life, grounding is the skill of noticing where you are and what’s real around you. It allows the body to slow down and the mind to refocus. Grounding can be as simple as feeling your feet on the floor or noticing the air moving across your skin. These small actions tell the brain that the present moment is safe. Practicing grounding restores awareness and steadiness. It’s a tool that can be used anywhere, anytime. Over time, it builds resilience and emotional balance.
