Lesson Overview

3.15 – Recognizing When Grounding Is Needed: Recognizing when to ground is the key to preventing overwhelm. Signs may include fast heartbeat, racing thoughts, or feeling disconnected from reality. The earlier grounding starts, the faster calm returns. Awareness grows by checking in with emotions throughout the day. When stress rises, grounding helps bring the mind back to the body. It’s not about ignoring pain but staying present with control. Recognizing triggers allows smoother transitions into safety practices. Over time, awareness of early signs builds confidence. Knowing when to ground turns emotional reactions into opportunities for regulation and resilience.
