Course overview
Lesson Overview

5.2 – Common Emotions After Trauma: After trauma, emotions can appear stronger, faster, or more unpredictable than before. Common ones include fear, shame, guilt, anger, sadness, and numbness. These feelings are the body’s way of trying to protect and process what happened. They may come in waves, triggered by reminders or stress. Recognizing them as natural reactions reduces shame and self-blame. Each emotion carries information about what needs healing or attention. Learning to identify these feelings builds emotional stability over time. Awareness helps create compassion for yourself and others. Understanding these emotions is part of reclaiming control and rebuilding balance.
