Lesson Overview

3.3 – 5 Senses Check-In for Grounding: The 5 Senses Check-In is a simple way to pull your mind back to the present. It starts by noticing five things you can see, four you can touch, three you can hear, two you can smell, and one you can taste. This practice activates the brain’s sensory centers, grounding you in real experiences. It interrupts racing thoughts by turning attention outward. The exercise can be done anywhere—at home, work, or in public. By engaging the senses, you replace fear with focus. It helps remind your body that you are safe right now. Over time, it becomes a reliable strategy for quick calm.
