Lesson Overview

3.7 – Anchoring With Safe Words or Phrases: Words can act as anchors when emotions feel overwhelming. Repeating a phrase like “I am safe right now” or “This moment will pass” helps calm racing thoughts. These words become reminders that danger is not present. Anchoring phrases guide the mind back to stability and self-assurance. They work best when practiced often, even during calm moments. Each repetition strengthens the message of safety and control. Some people pair words with breathing for stronger grounding. Over time, these phrases become automatic comfort tools. Anchoring with words turns self-talk into a source of strength and balance.
