Lesson Overview

5.14 – Naming Feelings to Reduce Confusion: Unnamed feelings can create confusion and overreaction. Naming emotions gives structure to what once felt chaotic. It separates fact from feeling, making problems easier to handle. When emotions are labeled clearly, communication improves instantly. Saying “I feel anxious” instead of “I can’t handle this” invites support. It also teaches the mind to slow down before reacting. Naming replaces guessing with understanding. This practice makes emotions feel manageable, not mysterious. Over time, it reduces emotional noise and builds calm clarity in both thought and speech.
