Lesson Overview

6.8 – How to Handle Boundary Pushback: When boundaries are new, some people may react with resistance or guilt trips. Handling pushback requires calm and confidence. Staying firm shows that your limits are serious, not negotiable. It’s normal for others to test them, especially if they were used to more access. Repeating your boundary clearly and respectfully reinforces control. You don’t need to argue or overexplain—consistency speaks louder than words. Over time, people adjust as they see your commitment. Pushback is not failure but part of the process. Holding firm teaches respect and strengthens emotional safety.
