Lesson Overview

13.2 Spotting Physical Signs of Anxiety: Anxiety speaks through your body as much as through your thoughts, sending signals like muscle tension, fast heartbeat, shallow breathing, upset stomach, headaches, or difficulty sitting still. You learn to notice these physical warning signs early, before worry spins into panic or overwhelm. Instead of fearing the sensations, you begin interpreting them as messages that your nervous system needs support. You practice grounding your body with breath, stretching, hydration, or slowing your pace so your brain receives the message that you are not in danger. Each time you respond calmly to physical cues, you prevent anxiety from escalating and build trust in your ability to soothe yourself.
