23.14 Resetting Your Internal Clock: Resetting your internal clock means helping your body establish regular rhythms when sleep has become inconsistent or unpredictable. You practice waking up and going to bed at the same time every day, even on weekends, so your brain learns when to feel tired and when to feel alert. You expose yourself to morning daylight to strengthen your body’s natural timing signals and avoid naps late in the day that can shift sleep later into the night. You build a consistent routine to tell your body that sleep is coming—dim lights, calm activities, a peaceful environment. With patience, your internal clock adjusts, making rest come more naturally and preventing long nights of frustration or exhaustion.
