Lesson Overview

13.4 Grounding in the Present Moment: Anxiety pulls your attention into the future, worrying about what might go wrong, but grounding keeps you anchored in what is happening right now. You use your senses to reconnect with the present — noticing a sound, a texture, a smell, or the feeling of your feet on the floor. You practice asking calming questions like, “What is real in this moment?” When you bring your focus back to the present, fear loses strength because worry cannot survive in a mind that is fully here. Grounding becomes a skill that helps you return to peace anytime anxiety tries to drag you away.
