Lesson Overview

19.13 Healing Negative Body Talk: Healing negative body talk means noticing the harsh and critical thoughts you’ve been taught to direct at yourself, and choosing kinder language that supports healing rather than shame. You learn to challenge statements like “I’m not enough” or “I hate how I look,” replacing them with compassionate truths that honor your humanity. You practice speaking to yourself like a friend, acknowledging uncomfortable feelings without letting them define you. Over time, body talk shifts away from constant criticism and toward respect and appreciation. Your inner voice grows into a guide for confidence rather than a bully that tears you down, helping mental and emotional recovery grow stronger every day.
