10.19 – Avoiding Scams, Robbery, and Unwanted Solicitation: Scams and theft target trust more than money. Staying safe means learning patterns of manipulation—urgent requests, too-good-to-be-true offers, or pressure to decide fast. Always verify identities through official channels before sharing personal details. Never open doors to unknown solicitors or allow strangers inside “just to talk.” Keeping valuables out of sight discourages temptation. Installing a peephole camera or chain lock provides both visibility and time to decide. Online safety matters equally: avoid clicking suspicious links or sharing financial data without encryption. Report scams to authorities so others stay protected too. Awareness grows from curiosity, not fear; ask questions before agreeing to anything. Safety thrives when skepticism meets compassion. The goal isn’t isolation—it’s informed caution that lets generosity continue safely. Protecting your resources means protecting your independence, ensuring your hard work benefits you, not opportunists.
