6.28 – Handling Reactions from Others About Your Medications: Sometimes people misunderstand why you take medication and make careless remarks. Handling those reactions requires confidence and self-respect. Remember, you never owe full details about your health to anyone. A simple “It’s prescribed for my well-being” keeps boundaries firm yet polite. Most judgment comes from ignorance, not truth, so stay composed. Surround yourself with people who support responsibility rather than spread stigma. Educating close friends or family can replace awkwardness with understanding. Online groups or counselors can also help process emotional strain from being judged. Treat your medication as a normal part of self-care, not a secret to hide. Your calmness often teaches others acceptance faster than explanation. Respecting your treatment choices is a reflection of maturity, not weakness or shame.
